Massage Therapy

Massage is best known for reducing stress and muscle tension.  Not only does it feel wonderful but it can assist in controlling hypertension, decreasing tension headaches, improving blood circulation, digestive problems and sleeping patterns.  A major component of massage is decreasing injury recovery time.  By providing the client with a well designed treatment plan, the massage therapist can decrease pain levels, reduce swelling and stiffness, prevent tissue adhering and restore strength and range of motion.

My name is Jennifer Lenthall, I am  a  Massage Therapist living in the Durham area, and graduated from Sutherland - Chan Teaching School and Clinic in 2006.  I have been passionate about my career ever since I started.  Over the last five years I have worked with many different kinds of clients, including athletes, expected mothers and business professionals. I provide stress relief and deep tissue massage and develop maintenance programs specific to each individual.

My experience with massage varies from sports related injury, arthritis, low back pain, headaches and whiplash, to general aches and pains as well as pregnancy massage.

I believe it is a wonderful thing that the world is realizing the awesome powers ordinary people have at their fingertips, the power to heal.  All of us are in need of more positive healing touch and healing  in our lives.  As our lives become ever more rushed, pressured, and stressed we find fewer opportunities for this.  My goals a massage therapist is to help my clients feel more empowered and balanced in their lives through massage therapy.  My job is to witness the moment of transformation of pain and limitation into a new possibility of growth and freedom.  my treatments are designed to promote both healing of the mind and body.

I am motivated by my passion to help others enjoy a better quality of life.  I truly believe that massage therapy coupled with other lifestyle choices, such as regular exercise, healthy eating, and enjoyment of food, and of course FUN, can help to optimize health vitality and well being.

I look forward to to the opportunity to work with you and to contribute to your wellness.

Dr. Rudy Asks some important questions of interest to Whitby residents - Chiropractor Whitby Dr. Rudy Asks...

How long does it take to form a bone spur?
Many who begin chiropractic care think their problem happened "last week when you bent over funny." But pictures of the spine tell a different story. Chiropractors know it can take your body years to deposit the calcium necessary to form a bone spur. It's your body's response to stress due to gravity or joint malfunction. And chiropractic care can help.
Can a chiropractor heal?
There's never been a case in which a doctor (chiropractor or otherwise) has formed scar tissue, mended a broken bone or cured a headache. Only you can do that. Turns out you're the doctor! All I do is help remove interferences to your body's healing ability. Ready to get started? Call our office today.
